A 4340 Forged Steel Ford FE 4.125" stroke crankshaft. That’s right at last. For the first time in 40 years a Forged Steel Crank for the FE Ford with a Standard Stroke. It is made from Forged 4340 Steel. The Crank is Aero-Wing designed. It features Big Block Chevy Rod Journal Std. size 2.20" and 2.00 width, this will allow for a wide variety of BBC Rods to use. The Rod Journals have large .125” radius’ and will require “H” Style chamfered Rod Bearings. The Main Journals are Std. FE. Oiling on the Crank is Straight shot ( NOT Crossed Drilled) and oils 30 degrees Before TDC. This allows oil to be in place before detonation. There is NO screw in Plugs or Snap ringed Plugs like the Originals. This will allow for easier cleaning. This crank will be of nuetral balance type and will use reg 390 or 427 Flexplates or Flywheels without the counter weight. The Bolt Pattern for the Flywheel/Flexplate has been oriented so that if you do have a 428 Counter-weighted Flywheel/Flexplate, the weight should be in the right spot to reduce the amount of Mallory normally required. These Cranks are Forged Off-shore, but are final machined and Quality Checked here in USA.
