MELLING 4.6 FORD SOHC OIL PUMP With 11MM Gears & 13/16" Inlet, Blueprinted by PRECISION OIL PUMPS. The pump is a brand new Melling FORD 4.6 SOHC pump #M176. Each pump is disassembled in groups of ten, The passages radiused and blended by hand.This results in an increase GPM(Gallon Per Minute) of flow. The Housings & gears are Deburred by a vibratory polisher then cleaned. Gears are then sprayed with TECH-LINE moly-coating and oven curred.This coating reduces friction or horsepower it takes to turn the pump. Three Critical Clearances are checked on reassembly;(1)Gear to Housing,(2)Mesh or Backlash,(3) Gear to Cover-Plate. With Ten gear sets to choose from, One set with correct clearances will be installed. The relief valve is deburred with emmory-cloth and is re-installed with the existing spring & new hardware, Each cover plate is also deburred and is fastened with aircraft quality bolts.
